Biography

Dr. Mónica Yulieth Hinestroza Jordan, M.D. holds a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira and practiced medicine for three years in Colombia before coming to the United States to continue her professional development. Dr. Hinestroza Jordan completed her Infectious Diseases Fellowship at UMass Chan Medical School Currently is Assistant professor of medicine in the division of medicine and Associate program director of the Infectious Diseases fellowship program at Banner health/ University of Arizona. Her interests in ID included HIV care, Global Health and Medical education. Her Global Health experience is mainly from her clinical work in the pacific side of Colombia and as the clinical director of the elective rotation in Cochabamba, Bolivia for the ID fellows at banner Health/ University of Arizona. In her spare time, Dr Hinestroza Jordan enjoys working out, traveling, hiking, dancing and spending time with her husband and their 2 dogs.
