Kimberly Golisch’s initial interest in global health began during her time at the University of Arizona as an undergraduate student. She was heavily involved in numerous global health projects during those four years that really opened her eyes to international health disparities. As a medical student, her desire to learn more about global health continued to grow.  Kimberly was involved in the distinction track as a co-chair for the annual Arizona Global Health Conference, completing the Global Health Distinction Track’s 7-week externship in Ecuador, and developing a research project to assess radiology education in Haiti. These endeavors further inspired and motivated her to pursue her global health passion. She plans to take a year between third and fourth year to volunteer and/or conduct research in a global setting.
