Charity Adusei, 2015 Nehal Shah Memorial Global Health Award

Charity Adusei, who has strong cultural roots in Ghana, was co-chair of the College of Medicine student Global Health Forum, which promotes and enables academic and experiential immersion in global health in conjunction with the College’s Global Health Distinction Track. During Charity’s first year, she sponsored a drive to raise funds for beds in a hospital in Ghana, then went to her externship in Ecuador in June 2012. Returning, she and the Global Health Forum organized the third annual Binational “Bridging the Gap” Conference with medical students from Sonora, Mexico, as well as Global Health Week, March 25-29, 2013.
