Potential Residency Global Health Sites

This database is composed of site evaluations from medical students, residents and faculty.  Each has a description of the site and URL links when available.  Use the contact information on the program’s website as names and emails change often.

Each site listing is updated annually by our Program Coordinator, Diane Poskus, who checks the website details and URLs. You can find the year of the latest update next to the Rotations start date under Details.  Please report broken links to Ms. Poskus.

There are 2 types of sites in this list.

  • When a resident returns from a rotation, we ask them to fill out the online site evaluation form. This allows the resident to give their insight into their experience at the site.
  • The others sites in the list were reviewed by medical students who rotated to the site during their 4th year and reported back that the program does accept residents. Their views of the site are based on their experience as a 4th year medical student.

You will then need to contact your Residency Coordinator for their permission to go to this site.  Contact the site directly to make sure they can fit you into your scheduled time frame and that they understand that you have completed medical school but still in training.

The GME Office has required paperwork to be completed before your rotation.  You must also register your travel with the UA Travel Office and submit a Travel Authorization form.  Visit http://ua-risk.terradotta.com/  for details.  Travel registration MUST BE COMPLETED 30 days PRIOR to travel.

This page and its links are passworded to protect the information provided to us by our students, faculty and colleagues from these sites abroad. Please do not circulate or transmit this data, as we do not want to burden these busy colleagues with multiple messages from students or residents from other institutions which do not have first-hand relationships with these programs.
