Aubri Carman, 2017 Nehal Shah Memorial Global Health Award
Recipient

Aubri Carman was a lead among several students in the Global Health Forum who planned and coordinated the largest of the annual Forum-sponsored campus-wide Global, Border and Rural Health Conferences, March 28-29, 2014. Ms. Carman served her 2013 Global Health Externship in Lusaka, Zambia, working with the Tiny Tim Foundation to improve diagnostic methods for TB in HIV-infected children. She had previous experience in South Africa with Child/Family Health International.

Srishti Nayak, 2017 Nehal Shah Memorial Global Health Award
Recipient

Srishti Nayak, who completed her Global Health Externship in India promoting basic bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation, believes that “global health has always been about understanding and promoting unity…I have constantly had to walk the tightrope between two cultures.”  She also was co-chair of the 2015 annual conference organized by the College of Medicine’s Global Health Forum student group.
