As of October 2017, we have 739 alumni of the University of Arizona course on Global Health: Clinical and Community Care.
We like to hear from our alumni. Please keep in touch and let us know what you are doing and any changes in your mailing address and email address. Let us know if you have been working in any developing country and whether that work site accepts medical students, public health students, preclinical students and/or residents for rotations.
In 2009, Dr. Pust sent out a survey to classes from 1982 to 2007. If you haven't filled out the survey, or if you need to update us about any changes, please submit the survey. Feel free to use even if you already submitted or from a more recent year. We'd love toget an update from you.
We held an alumni CME reunion/conference July 24-27, 2003, here in Tucson. We had over 100 alumni registered. Nearly all of the CME lectures were delivered by course alumni, now serving in various pertinent positions.
In 2002, we sent out a survey. At that time we had 433 alumni and 289 filled out the survey. You will be happy to hear that many of you are still working in the field of global health and underserved health either full time or part time.
In 2002, we had alumni in Sudan, Vietnam, Haiti, Suriname, Thailand, Peru, Niger, Nepal, Namibia, Kenya, India, Guam, Ecuador and Botswana among other nations. We also have alumni working with USAIDS, BOTUSA, CDC, UNICEF, Partners in Health, Indian Health Service, and many in faculty positions at various US universities.
